Warehouse Manager

DepartmentOperations- LevelExperienced (Team Lead)- LocationVietnam - Ho Chi Minh CityThe Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

**Maintain a safe working environment**
- Maintain a safe warehouse environment. Ensure workers’ physical and mental well-being is top priority.
- Collaborate with HSE team to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and safety standards.
- Proactively identify and eliminate safety hazards.
- Take thorough and rapid corrective action to address any safety incidents.

**Drive operational performance to improve buyer experience**
- Manage a team of Field Leaders (Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Team Leads) and WH support staff to drive daily operations.
- Establish targets and protocols to ensure daily execution is meeting the business targets related to throughput, cost, buyer and seller experience and worker experience.
- Answer for and close gaps in key metrics. Develop and execute action plans that rapidly drive daily operations to achieve expectations.
- Identify opportunities for long-term improvement related to people, process and technology, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives with the project team.
- Continuously deepen your understanding of the business and the activities of other teams. Build cross-functional relationships to better understand the needs of our buyers, sellers and workers.

**Develop a team of field leaders**
- Train, coach and build field leadership teams; continuously improve their soft skill communication, technical and problem-solving skills; as well as deepen their understanding of the business.
- Provide effective feedback to field leaders and warehouse staffs; improve underperformers’ performance and recognize strong performers.
- Ensure workers and field leaders are engaged. In particular they know their role and what success looks like; they have the resources to be successful and they know why their work is important
- Effectively communicate our vision and direction for the team

**Lean leadership and People development**:

- Train, coach and build the team on the job, to develop their communication skills, technical operation capabilities and leadership skills.
- Communicate effectively with the team to help them understand the business priorities. Deliver the vision, inspire them and engage people to work together towards the same goal.
- Lead by example.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in management roles with proven track record in leadership.
- Minimum 2-year experience in a Field Operations environment (warehousing, logistics, manufacturing etc.); comfortable working on the shopfloor and engaging with frontline workers.
- Result-driven with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable using data and metrics to make informed decisions.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication in Vietnamese
- Experience with ecommerce warehousing and fulfillment is preferable.
- Understanding of Lean Six-Sigma or other operations-focused academic experience, project management or other continuous improvement experience will be a plus
