**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work with the EPC contractor, to deliver the project according to agreed EPC Contract;
- Lead and Manage the Project team in the company to achieve the project plans deliverables, standards & project requirements set out in the project;
- Coordinate all contract aspects of the project with the Technology provider;
- Review and update the teams work of the Bankable Feasibility study;
- Develops Project Execution Plan (PEP)
- Develops and resources an appropriate owners team organization structure, and ensures that the entire project team has the required resources for the work;
- Coordinate and engage/select the Owner Engineer and Third party inspection (TPI) to deliver the project according to agreed project systems;
- Work actively with the project team to ensure all Scope of Works are written and meet project requirements and standards;
- Work with project teams from local and foreign companies to establish a professionally project managed and delivered project;
- Work with the EPC, Suppliers and contractors to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered according to SOW & Specifications;
- Represent the overall project to the different stakeholders;
- Actively promotes behavior aligned to the company goal of achieving a total safety culture;
- Leads the team to develops a detailed scope, cost and schedule control baseline, and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed control baseline;
- Monitors and controls all contractual commitments to assure that all work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, terms of the contract.
- Establishes and ensures that the processes for effective scope control (i.e. Trend and Change Management) for the project is in place and that these processes are agreed and they are managed in accordance with Best Project Practice.
- Establishes and manages processes for the early identification of any potential changes to the all types of contracts and ensures that those changes are identified to the company. Ensures that appropriate contractual changes are formally authorized.
- Ensures that company standard suite of tools and procedures are properly set-up and deployed at the project.
- Directs and reviews all discipline functions throughout the project lifecycle and ensures that the discipline leads actively manage best practices within each of their fiel
- Ensures that the required business and workplace integration activities occur. Specifically, that project documentation (contractual, engineering, maintenance and workplace change related) is managed (received, reviewed, comments incorporated, responded to and incorporated in plant records).
- Ensures compliance to the project Environmental Management Plan.
- Ensure all Project teams have the required software tools for the project;
- Ensure project team review and update the Project CAPEX budget and forecast;
- Ensure project team review and update the OPEX budget and forecast;
- Responsible to hand-over the entire project to company Operations teams;
**REQUIRE**MENTS**:
Essential
- Bachelor of science degree (BSC) in Engineering or equivalent;
- Over 10 years of experience in Project Management of large-scale projects;
- Proven track record in a similar position, on a Greenfield or Brownfield Aluminium Smelter Project is a plus.
- Proven ability working with and managing Project teams on all areas on large scale projects;
- Ability to demonstrate management and team leadership skills for a large project;
- Proven capability to understand, develop and work on Project plans, Project Deliverable lists, Systems, Policies, Procedures; Standards, Reports, Scheduling, cost control, budgets CAPEX and OPEX, Safety and Quality systems and procedures;
- Previous experience in a project with a high international content, experience of strategic and Project management;
- Ability to work with numerous stakeholders and contractors from all disciplines,
- Be accurate, precise, diligent and willing to lead as well as take a hands on approach;
- Working knowledge of engineering, project control systems and construction management

- Additional accreditations and qualifications related to Project Management are a plus;
- Ability to function well in a team environment with multiple nationalities;
- Coordination, organization and planning of community and industrial relations;
- Commercial awareness and best in Aluminium industry practices;
- Experience in managing multi discipline projects at all levels;
- Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies;
- Broad knowledge of industry standards;
- Relationship building and high level of emotional intelligence.
