Head of Research

Earth Venture Capital is a global venture capital firm that seeks to empower digital solutions tackling climate change while having the potential to deliver significant financial returns. Believing that the next generation of unicorns will be climate tech startups, we aim to leverage the power of entrepreneurship to achieve these three climate goals: (1) to abandon petrol and diesel, (2) to store carbon and reduce carbon emission and (3) to switch to renewable energy.

Earth Venture Capital is looking for a Head Of Research with a demonstrable track record in researching for startups, venture capital or agencies. Our team values an ambitious, breakthrough and committed person that can balance multiple priorities. This role will be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and work closely with General Partners.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- **Strategic Planning**:Lead the design and implementation of tailored research strategies to align with Earth VC's objectives.
- **Market Research and Analysis**:

- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in target industries.
- Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment to assess market attractiveness and investment potential.
- **Due diligence**:

- Lead due diligence efforts on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, business model evaluation, and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with investment team members to evaluate the technical, operational, and strategic aspects of target companies.
- **Team Leadership**:Provide guidance and support to team members in conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting findings.
- **Data management and analysis**:Manage databases, track and analyze research metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- **Support for Earth VC's Portfolio Companies** entering the Vietnamese and relevant market. Provide comprehensive support by delivering detailed market research, key players, potential customer profiles and legality updates.

**Qualifications**
- Education: Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in environmental science, climate science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in research, investment analysis, or technology assessment, preferably in the climate technology sector.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of researchers and analysts.
- Analytical Skills: Strong capability in conducting complex analyses and synthesizing information to inform investment decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the talent to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

**Salary**: 30,000,000₫ - 40,000,000₫ per month
