Why We Need You:
We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist (Outdoor) to be the main point of contact to Article's vendors. You will be the first point of contact to check the performance of each vendor assigned, implement new products and resourcing initiatives, allocate product capacity, evaluate vendor manufacturing capabilities and support cost competitiveness analysis.

While, we sell to the North American market, we work closely with a number of our manufacturing partners throughout Asia. As a result we have an office in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where we currently have around 50 Particles (people of Article) working.

As a Particle (people of Article), you will have a high level of autonomy to solve challenging, meaningful problems the best way you can. That means you’re trusted to explore solutions you believe will work best (you’re the expert, after all). You’ll do all this while growing your skills within a company that is redefining the furniture industry.

What You'll Do
- As the main point of contact you will coordinate with cross functional teams that interact with outdoor and home décor vendors to ensure a consistent approach, message, priorities, action items and message to each of our vendors.
- Be the single point of contact with vendors it must collaborate with multiple departments to improve vendor performance
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors who are well aligned with Article performance expectations
- Set and implement vendor’s commitments and targets related to quality, price, capacity and process improvement
- Evaluate new product samples, materials and implement and/or propose design changes and quality improvements on new and existing products to meet project deadlines
- Utilize project management software to input new vendor information, validate, follow up on various tasks and product developments and ensure stakeholders are informed
- Keep an updated register of product technical drawings, specifications, labeling and warnings
- Support raw material and finished product prices negotiations as needed
- Coordinate and execute product testing at vendors and third-party laboratories

**Yêu cầu công việc**:
Who you are:

- 5+ years experience in a Sourcing, Engineering or Quality role within the furniture industry. Preferably outdoor furniture, hardlines and softlines decorative accessories.
- Technical knowledge of case goods or upholstered furniture, compliance and lean manufacturing
- Results oriented, proactive and strong at execution
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and build relationships while collaborating virtually across the organization
- Bachelors or other post-secondary certification in a related field
- Previous exposure managing vendor relationships and negotiating
