**The role**:
**What You'll Do**:
**DevSecOps engineer roles and responsibilities are various tasks, including**:

- **Integrating security into the software development process.**:

- **Identifying potential security risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.**:

- **Implementing security controls.**:

- **Monitoring security threats.**:

- **Ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.**:

- **Collaborating with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that security is integrated into the development process**

**What You'll Bring**:

- **Strong understanding of security concepts, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.**:

- **Knowledge of the SDLC and experience integrating security best practices at every process stage.**:

- **Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages like Python and PowerShell.**:

- **Understanding cloud security principles, including secure architecture design and configuration management.**:

- **Knowledge of container security principles, such as Docker and Kubernetes.**:

- **Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and infrastructure as code (IaC).**:

- **Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.**:

- **Strong problem-solving skills, including analyzing complex security issues and developing effective solutions.**:

- **Effective communication skills, including working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.**:

- **A passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the latest security trends and technologies.**

**Other Devops Technical Skill Requirements**:

- **Cloud / Iaas / Paas Platforms: Expertise in AWS or Cloud Foundry or azure (or similar cloud platforms) with experience of setting up complete virtual network, nat gateway, public and private subnet, updating of routing tables using configuration management tools like ansible, chef or puppet following infrastructure as code concept.**:

- **Configuration management and infrastructure as code:Expertise in one of the following: Terraform, Rundeck, SmartFrog, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack, Cobbler**:

- **CI Tools: Expertise in one of the following CI tools: Jenkins ( with experience of DSL scripting job automation and pipeline as code), Bamboo, GoCD, TeamCity, Team foundation build ( with experience in set up of build agents and controllers)
- Must have experience integrating code quality analysis tools to CI.**:

- **Scripting languages: Expertise in one of the following: python, power shell, bash scripting.**:

- **SCM Tools: Expertise in branching and release management using any of the following**
