**General Requirements**:

- Knowledge of technology best practices for building a modern automated DevOps platform.
- Good understanding of technologies and experience in building a highly scalable and fault tolerant system.
- Self-starter, capable of working without direction and able to deliver projects from scratch.
- Proficiency in the development (Java/Scala/Kotlin, Python, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3) and Strong scripting skills.
- DevOps toolchain experience (GitHub, CircleCI, Artifactory, SonarQube).
- CICD tools hands-on experience (Spinnaker, Ansible, Chef).
- Cloud computing deployment and management experience (AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure) via Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Container management and container orchestration experience - Docker, Kubernetes.
- Monitoring tools Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and TCP/IP Subnet.
- Strong understanding and practice Agile/Lean projects SCRUM, KANBAN etc.
- Practical knowledge with Git flow, Trunk and GitHub flow branching strategies.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Distributed system knowledge applicable to a microservice architecture.
- Breadth of knowledge - operating systems, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing.
- Certified in cloud computing (professional levels: Solution architect, DevOps engineer, Security, Network)

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
- Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
- Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
- Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions
- Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
- Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations

**Job Qualifications**
- Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization
- Experience with IaaS and/or PaaS solutions
- Experience working within an Agile framework
- Experience in IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
- Experience scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell
- Proficient with GIT to perform source code management
- Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps
- Experience with Jira
- Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling
- Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
