**About the opportunity**

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing robust database solutions, ensuring data integrity and security and providing technical support to our users. You have a strong understanding of database management concepts, excellent problem-solving skills, and, most importantly, your commitment to delivering exceptional results, which we value most in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database systems according to the Discova business needs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development teams on database optimization and architecture.
- Manage Azure SQL databases and provide proactive support, including troubleshooting.
- Integrate APIs to enhance system capabilities.
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements.
- Stay updated on database technologies and trends.
- Analyse business processes and develop technical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Discova’s IT and Systems department to build, test, and maintain the applicable software.
- Respond to incidents and troubleshoot production issues effectively and efficiently.
- Provide, gather and develop technical support, solutions, requirements and implementation plans
- Enhance development, testing, and release processes.

**About You**

The Essentials
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Microsoft Azure database administration experience.
- Strong understanding of database structure, SQL, Azure services, data management, and SQL.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL), and database architecture, design, and implementation.
- Ability to write scripts (SQL, PowerShell, or similar) for automation and develop, integrate, and implement APIs.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Proficient in English (written and speaking)
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, documentation, and coding.
- Familiarity with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages API.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant certification.
- Strong time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel on business as needed.
