Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual for the following position as part of the multi-disciplinary team in our Vietnam office.

ESD Consultant

Responsibility:

- Development of Sustainable Design Strategies from Concept phase through to Construction phase on buildings and masterplan
- Contribute to the certification and compliance offering within the team
- Contribution to design capability within the Sustainability and ESD Team, authoring project deliverables such as reports, memos, technical studies, graphic illustrations, and drawings on topics including daylighting, energy and water use, sustainable materials, health and wellness, LEED, Green Mark, and more
- To provide Sustainable Building design services for multi-disciplinary and sustainability projects
- To develop and deliver strategies for Green Mark, LEED, and WELL projects.
- To prepare project reports and digital deliverables for clients summarising sustainable design outcomes and strategically advising on appropriate design direction
- To prepare graphical representation of sustainable design strategies and recommendations
- To liaise with other discipline groups on design issues
- To provide input into Arup regional and global skills networks associated with sustainable building design.

**Skills & experience**

Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environment, Sustainability, or similar area;
- Relevant industry experience in building environmental design within a consulting business environment;
- Wiling to gain knowledge towards sustainability benchmarking projects including Green Mark and LEED, with support from senior practice leaders
- Carried out technical environmental studies including daylight, energy, and thermal comfort analysis, water analysis
- Experience in creating explanatory diagrams and illustrations
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership (if any);
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S

**Must have**
- Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Expert)
- Microsoft Powerpoint (Intermediate to Expert)

**Nice to have**:

- LEED GA/AP
- Dynamic themal modelling and energy modelling software (IES) (Intermediate - Expert)
- Radiance (Intermediate)
- Coding Experience (Beginner) InDesign and Adobe Illustrator (Intermediate)
- Rhino (Beginner)
- Grasshopper (Beginner)

**Personal Attributes**:

- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environment
