**JOB SUMMARY**:
As a Biomed Engineer, the job holder has the responsibilities to assist the Director - Head of Project Management & Hospital Support (BME & FM Services) on implementation & monitoring planned preventive maintenance /inspections, calibration, commissioning, evaluation, and repair maintenance across Hoan My Corporation’s (HMC) network of hospitals & clinics on Biomedical equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**General Management**:

- To work closely with all HMC hospitals/clinics’ BME and other department heads and contract service providers to ensure the proper repair and maintenance of equipment for safe and efficient operations.
- Supervise, advise, and monitor parts orders generated by the facilities.
- To assist in developing relevant policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards for Biomedical Engineering support services.
- Implementation and enforce all established standards, ISO, JCI, and QA procedures for HMC’s hospital network.
- Monitor/advise propose/approve the annual budget, manpower requirements, and expenses (PNL) at each hospital’s BME department level.
- Generate monthly and/or requested status/occurrence reports.
- Establish communication channels and methodology with subordinates (weekly/monthly meetings, memos, circulars, etc.).
- Assess staff strength, initiate training, and retrain (internal & external).
- Conduct staff performance appraisals and propose necessary actions.

**Provide expertise**:

- Monitor/assist/advise or Supervise the execution of planned preventive maintenance schedules within the stipulated time length and the established guidelines.
- Comply with the relevant national and international standards and performances established.
- Be involved in the joint commissioning of newly acquired technologically advanced equipment/systems by the facility or special projects initiated by HMC in locally or overseas (where necessary).
- Draft Technical Specifications, and participate in the evaluation process of quotations/tender documents of new equipment intended to purchase by the facility or requested for projects.
- Establish training requirements for existing/new staff and junior staff on biomedical equipment and review them periodically.
- Assist in other duties of the Department(s) across facilities and be involved in any special projects as assigned.
- Conduct orientation / in-service for new staff and equipment users through managers and engineers.
- Perform analysis on maintenance status, indicators, equipment inventory, and cost-saving procedures.
- Conduct weekly and/or monthly meetings based on established communication channels and methodology with subordinates and record all events.
- Establish/participate in the annual budget exercise, analyze P&L, and propose new ways of cost containment/provide justifications for expenses where necessary.

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 03 years of experience in related fields in a hospital.
- English proficiency is highly required.
- Experience on-chip or component level repairing and PCB repairs.

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering.
