**JOB SUMMARY**:
This job holder must conduct daily factory in-line and final furniture inspections at their assigned factory location. In addition, they must perform any required in-line furniture tests. Their goal is to ensure proper production controls are being maintained by vendor’s own production and QA teams.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**In-house test & inspection**
- Execute daily in-line and final inspections in accordance with WSI procedures for assuring that products are shipped with the same quality level as expected. Random in-line tests in accordance with WSI procedures. Co-operate with factories for ISTA in-house package drop test and construction test when required. Proper care of any assigned testing and inspections tools, measurement tools/equipment and camera/laptop.
- Set up Moisture Control/ Sheen Meter/ Coating Adhesion test for each kind of wooden basing on the understanding wood species/glue specifications/board requirements.
- Provide daily quality control reports. Ensure all report data is accurate. Support any data analysis and process improvements implemented by higher management. Weekly submit the production status from vendors/factories to Lead QA.
- Production loading random audit. Keep Lead QA well informed of any potential issues that will affect quality or delivery.
- Attend Pre-production meetings (PPM) for new sample development and any pilot runs conducted by the Furniture Engineer team and Factories’ Production team to make sure the proper construction, assembly instruction (AI) and packing method before mass production.
- Deploy and follow up on any corrective action and preventive action plans in the factory/vendor and provide data for audit.
- Ensure required documents/MCS/MCP/Test Reports maintained at the factory level.
- Co-operate with factories’ QA/QC (in-line inspection) for pushing up the completion time of late purchase order.
- Understanding QA and manufacturing processes within in-charge factory to support for inspection. Building rapport with the vendor’s production team.
- Participate in corporate training programs to upgrade basic furniture knowledge and learn how to solve production quality problems with on-the-job learning.
- The job will require factory - to - factory transitions in working hours, discipline, and timing.
- Other tasks can be assigned by Lead QA and QA Manager.

**JOB HOLDER’S COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE**:
**Experience (and Knowledge)**

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

- Minimum of 2 years of furniture/decorative accessories manufacturing or technical experience.
- Understanding in furniture/ decorative accessories quality control processes and systems.
- Understanding finishing process
- Ability to understand Auto-Cad technical drawings.
- experience in vendor engagement
- build and manage vendor relationship
- High school or College
- Used to be QA/QC is an advantage / preferred / top prioritized
