**Job description**:
**ABOUT THE JOB**:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop effective test strategies and plans.
- Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and provide recommendations to improve the overall testing process.
- Work closely with developers to understand software architecture and design, ensuring proper test coverage.
- Participate in the review and refinement of user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test artifacts.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and communicate test results to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing detailed defect reports.
- Stay updated with the latest automation testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing automation expertise and best practices.
- Continuously improve the automation testing process and contribute to the enhancement of quality assurance practices.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java programming language for automation testing.
- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver or similar automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing automated test scripts from scratch.
- Ability to work independently, taking ownership of automation testing activities and delivering high-quality results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and isolate issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively report and communicate test results and progress to stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Scrum.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality software products.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
