**Role Purpose**

- The technician's responsibilities include repairing and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.

**Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities**

- Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
- Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.
- Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans
- Be able to test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopesto ensure compatibility and safety of the system. Can use the welding, hand cutting, and hand grinding machine.
- Performance diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Perform inspection of electrical/ mechanical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Coordinate with management and team members to plan work periodically.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Follow strictly job-plan by preparing the tool before PM, following each step in the job plan, and recording all required parameters.
- Writing up reports to the supervisor, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans
- Performs other duties as assigned
