- About the Role:_
- Responsibilities:_
- _ Strategic Leadership:_ Guide and direct key areas such as development engineering, quality assurance, and production engineering, focusing on innovation, quality control, and process improvement.
- _ Communication:_ Lead and support communication with internal and external customers, ensuring regular updates on performance, quality, and development projects.
- _ Team Management:_ Oversee and mentor multiple teams, setting clear KPIs, goals, and evaluation criteria. Manage the annual department budget and support cross-functional projects to successful completion.
- _ Quality and Process Improvement:_ Implement and maintain quality standards (ISO9001, QMS), lead cost-saving and continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, CI, VAVE), and address and resolve product and process issues.
- _ Material and Technical Expertise:_ Manage material evaluation, heat treatment processes, and offer engineering solutions to internal and external queries. Support in developing new suppliers and material grades.
- Requirements:_
- _ Experience:_ At least 15 years in the metal product industry, with over 5 years in a managerial role overseeing multi-functional teams. Must have global project experience and a solid background in design engineering, production engineering, quality assurance/control, and material engineering.
- _ Skills:_ Strong leadership and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office, Minitab, GD&T, CAD, and AIAG manuals (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA). A creative problem-solver with excellent analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- _ Qualifications:_ A BS degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field. Fluent in English to perform global tasks effectively.
