**About Social Impact**

**Project Objective**

SI is implementing the USAID/Vietnam Learns Contract. The scope of the five-year project is to support USAID/Vietnam staff and its implementing partners to implement more efficient, effective, and sustainable programs by (1) improving staff knowledge and skills in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) and Collaborating, Learning & Adapting (CLA); (2) advancing evidence-informed decision-making; (3) strengthening strategic collaboration between staff and local stakeholders.

**Position Description**

USAID Learns seeks a CLA/Research Assistant Consultant to support ongoing and upcoming research, evaluations, and facilitation assignments for the CLA team. This consultancy is full-time, based in Hanoi for a 5-month contract, and will report to the Research Director.

**Selection Criteria**
- Bachelor's degree, with a preference for degrees relevant to research, public policy, international development, or another related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and conducting evaluations or research in the development sector.
- Sound experience with administration and/or logistics for data collection, specifically coordinating data collection activities.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistical methodology.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to take detailed notes.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and adhere to high-quality standards.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Power Point, experience in using Pivot Table will be an advantage.
- Keen interest in contributing to sustainable development goals.
- Good English and Vietnamese reading and writing skills.
- Data visualization skills preferred.
- Experience working with USAID preferred.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

The CLA/Research Assistant Consultant will be expected to provide coordination and assistance for the CLA team, including:

- o Support the organization of the CLA team’s files on Social Impact’s server (SharePoint and Google Drive)

o Support with data visualization for the CLA team when necessary
- o Provide logistics support, including note-taking for research and facilitation activities, including interviews, team meetings, group discussions, field study, stakeholder meetings, and other events
- o Support the facilitation of events as needed

o Perform desk review for research or facilitation assignments as required
- o Participate in conduct interviews as needed and contribute to data collection for research assignments
- o Provide ongoing analysis of qualitative and quantitative data as required
- o Support the preparation and presentation of the key findings and recommendations to USAID

o Support research assignments throughout design, implementation, analysis, and report writing to complement other team members’ areas of expertise
- o Conduct programmatic administrative and support tasks as assigned and ensure the processes move forward smoothly.
