Layout Trainee

Follow direction and film language of the show.
- Able to stage shots by animating CG cameras and characters to plan action, timing and ensuring continuity and flow between shots.
- Choreograph characters, environments, and props with attention to entertainment, composition, cinematic storytelling, following animatic & reference notes.
- Able to build a rough environment block out from 2d storyboard with basic shape.
- Must have a good general knowledge of Maya and animation tools.
- Proactively anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues
- Curious-minded & flexible.
- Perform additional duties as required
- Team oriented
- Demonstrable a strong emphasis in visual art like cinema, animation, photo, fine art.

Nice to have:

- Understand the principles of cinematography including use of lenses, positioning and moving the camera, etc.
- Having character animation and/or modeling experience.
- Basic understanding about perspective rules
- Some video editing skills is a plus.
- Drawing or storyboarding skills
