**About the job**:
For a well know private automotive company, Connecting Experts are seeking a Sensor Fusion Expert.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to appropriate software development procedures and industry safety requirements
- Encourage technical assessment of sensors and sensor processing techniques from external vendors
- Create occupancy grids, free space estimators, and environmental models for autonomous driving based on sensor data such as camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic, and others. These algorithms will be used for 2D and 3D object tracking and trajectory prediction
- Test, publish, and introduce the sensor fusion algorithm into the automotive production programs
- Collaborate with other teams to make sure that the overall Autonomous Driving software integrates sensor fusion software at a high performance level

**Your Profile**:

- **Either **a Ph.D. in a relevant area paired with a minimum of 5 years working experience **OR **a M.S. paired with a minimum of 8 years working experience is required. Experience must be within multi sensor fusion, tracking and occupancy grid fusion algorithms
- Comprehensive understanding of sensor properties and signal processing
- Minimum 3 years of experience with and a proven track record of effectively creating C++ algorithms for use in production settings
- Proficiency with Bayesian filters and tracking and data association algorithms
- Profound expertise in general SW engineering
- Understanding of deep learning and machine learning
- Working knowledge of real-time embedded platforms’ operating systems
- Knowledge of middleware such as Python
- Knowledge of DevOps tools
- Demonstrated expertise in software architecture and system integration
- State estimation theory knowledge
- Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262
- Knowledge with the Automotive Spice methodology for developing automotive products
- Experience in implementing prediction models in real-world settings
- Expertise in the area of autonomous vehicles and driving
- Linux software development expertise
- Knowledge of implementations and techniques for sensor data fusion
