- Source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors.
- Manage the overall process for import license and custom clearance.
- Develop the most cost and quality effective suppliers and initiate business partnerships.
- Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure in line with technical and commercial specifications required for the operations.
- Ensure effective use of internal Standard Operating Procedures in Procurement, control of workflows, continuous business processes monitoring and elaboration of improvements in systems and processes, ensuring vendor billings are accurate.
- Responsible for daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on purchase orders, delivery and shipment schedule.
- Advice internal and external on issues regarding purchasing terms & conditions.
- Work with other departments on PSI planning process for cans and ends.
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts. Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms.
- Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions, contractors, performance evaluation and risk assessment
- Anticipate unfavorable risk or event through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Track and report to key persons to reduce procurement cost and improve effectiveness.
- Focus on working capital improvements (price reduction and increased credit terms)
- Manage aluminium delivery schedule to meet production needs and budget Days of Inventory
- Review outstanding PO every quarter & investigate long outstanding ones
- Proper competitive bidding is performed for purchases above company set threshold
- Other tasks and duties assigned by superior.

I. Technical
- Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- Skills & Competence:

- Able to use computer to compile reports, presentations and table formatting
- Knowledge of charts, graphs and trends
- Good negotiating skills
- Good practical technical knowledge
- Good safety awareness
- Good knowledge of import and export procedures
- Good in English speaking and writing

II. Interpersonal
- Team player who is able to motive and inspire his team to achieve their targets.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to multi task.
