Tobacco Flavorist

We are seeking a talented Laboratory Flavorist who is passionate about creating groundbreaking flavors and advancing our understanding of taste and aroma.

**Job Scope**:

- Research and Development: Conduct scientific research to understand the complexities of flavor compounds and their interactions. Develop new flavors and refine existing blends through rigorous testing and experimentation.
- Sensory Evaluation: Lead sensory evaluation sessions, utilizing both human panels and analytical tools to assess flavor profiles, strength, and consumer preferences. Develop and maintain standards for sensory evaluation.
- Chemical Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical techniques such as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to identify and quantify flavor compounds.
- Formulation Scaling: Work closely with the production team to scale laboratory formulations to commercial production levels, ensuring consistency and quality are maintained.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all flavor formulations comply with regulatory requirements, including safety, labeling, and ingredient restrictions. Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting the tobacco.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of all research findings, formulations, and test results. Prepare reports and presentations to share with the R&D team and company stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- A degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience in flavor development within a laboratory setting, preferably in the tobacco.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using laboratory analytical instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of flavor chemistry, sensory science, and product formulation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for innovation and a drive to explore new flavor possibilities.

**Salary**: 30,000,000₫ - 60,000,000₫ per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
