- The school is currently looking to recruit a:
**MFL Teacher (French and/or Spanish)**
- Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified and experienced teachers. A minimum of two years teaching in a Secondary school setting is required. A real passion in working with motivated and high achieving children is essential.

**About the Department**
- The Spanish and French Departments function within a very vibrant and creative MFL Department at BIS, where Chinese is also offered to students. Collaboration and cooperation amongst students and staff are key to its success. Teaching takes place in purpose built classrooms which were fully renovated recently to include the very latest technology. Lessons are lively and communicative. Teachers are able to use a significant amount of the target language in lessons. Students are very responsive and open to using foreign languages and they also benefit from conversing regularly with language assistants. Although the Spanish and French departments operate as small team, they do so in line with other Modern Foreign Languages in the school, under the direction of the Head of MFL. Students tend to opt for a language in Primary and carry on with the language into Secondary, with options to take IGCSE and IBDP examinations.
The MFL department requires a French and/or Spanish specialist for August 2025 onwards. Applications from French and Spanish teachers will be considered, with the ability to teach both languages a distinct advantage. Experience to KS5 is essential and prior knowledge of the IBDP is highly desirable.
