Ampere Computing is seeking talented Software Engineer to join our Software Sustaining team. This position will be working closely with software/firmware development and customer support teams to help maintain, troubleshoot, resolve issues, and make enhancements to existing products.

Being a Software Sustaining Engineer at Ampere®, you will learn how we deliver the new standard for Cloud and Edge servers with high performance, power efficiency and better total cost of ownership. You will have chance to work with engineers from the biggest Cloud Service Providers to develop their infrastructures using Ampere® Arm®-based server processors.

**What you will do**
- Provide issue resolutions and enhancements to our existing products, covering System Control Firmware, Arm Trusted Firmware, UEFI (EDK2, BIOS), Windows or Linux device drivers and kernel services to support our state-of-the-art Arm64 CPUs and various peripheral drivers such as DDR, PCIe, I2C, SPI, etc.)
- Provide technical support to internal customer support teams, working with Field Applications Engineers to drive Ampere Computing’s customers to production
- Work with cross-functional teams encompassing different technical disciplines including CPU & SoC Design, pre
- and post-silicon Validation, Hardware Diagnostics and Software Testing, to troubleshoot and resolve software/firmware issues
- Work with world-wide opensource communities for code review, bug fixes, and common code submission. Participate in ecosystem and developer programs for our platforms.

**What you will bring**
- Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership, excellent team player. Being able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with mínimal managerial oversight.
- Excellent C or C++ programming.
- Background in Bootloader programming, Tianocore/EDK2, Windows or Linux kernel programming, kernel services and device driver development.
- Background in any of ARM/ARM64/PowerPC/MIPS/x86 processor programming.
- Background in PCIe, USB, DDR, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, etc. driver development.
- Knowledge with CPU/Memory Management/IO, Virtualization technologies, and Network resource management.
- Capable of reading and understanding hardware schematics, interface specifications, standards, and creating software that interfaces with the hardware.
- Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, Agile process, Jira).
- Experienced with debugging and troubleshooting software and hardware interface issues.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good Vietnamese and English communications skills, both verbal and writing.
- 2+ years of experience in software development and/or software sustaining engineering

**Education**
- BS or MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent
