The primary focus of the Manager, Software Development will be to oversee the software development team, build and manage strong software development processes. and closely collaborate with the project delivery, QA, and project management teams. This position will be responsible for mentoring, maturing, and growing, the development team. As well as being responsible for facilitating, prioritizing and fostering communications for internal and external Clients.

**Responsibilities**:
- Creating and managing the development plan for Application Development projects to ensure the triple constraint for projects- Responsible for the software quality for the entire development team.- Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.- Identifying, managing and controlling the change control process both with internal and external stakeholders for all projects.- Working with the team to propose, define, and develop best practices and tools for project execution and testing.- Acting as a mentor and leader to the dev leads and developers on the team.- Assisting in reviewing and analyzing existing tools effectiveness and efficiency, and then developing strategies for improving or leveraging these tools.- Researching and making recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.- Managing teams located in various regions to work effectively across numerous time zones.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field- Master’s Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics is highly desirable- 10+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management- Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions- Hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies- Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices and methodologies-
- Technically fluent in programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, PL/SQL and Oracle- Knowledge of database design and file management techniques- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Linux, Microsoft Windows- Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, FTP, SOA and Restful API- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language-
- Highly self-motivated and directed- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment- Ability to work greater than and outside of a normal work week as dictated by workload- Good presentation and facilitation skills- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills- Ability to travel 25% nationally and internationally
