Lead Compositor

**Job description**
- **Integrating 2D and 3D elements of a shot while balancing the creative and technical side of each component**:

- **Paint fixes, rotoscoping, chroma keying, color and grading continuity, graining/degraining images**:

- **Working with blue/green screen effects, creating mattes**:

- **Enhancing lighting effects and creating convincing shadows within a shot**:

- **Integrating rear projection into background images**:

- **Assemble crew for production, assess individuals skills and delegate work appropriately.**:

- **Participates in the creation and submission of job bids.**:

- **Assisting with training and mentorship of compositors.**:

- **Taking responsibility for the quality of work of the team as a whole.**:

- **Assists the department manager with the employee review process and the scheduling of personnel on shows, providing input on skills, productivity, and career development.**:

- **Working with the production team to identify appropriate staffing levels and needs**:

- **Responsible for honest, timely feedback to Compositing members.**:

- **Acts as a point person between Production and Compositing crews, providing timely, clear communication.**:

- **Responsible for problem solving and communicating issues organizationally, and technically.**

**Technical Skills**
- **An expert understanding of the Nuke (demonstrated via showreel)**:

- **Advanced knowledge of matte extraction, painting, roto, 2D motion, compositing**:

- **Understanding of photography, composition, lighting, color and motion**:

- **Strong understanding on the visual effects pipeline**:

- **Know how to use Photoshop, After Effects.**:

- **Enthusiastic, flexible and collaborative approach to work.**:

- **Understanding of common technical terms in the 3d industry**:

- **Confident, self-motivated, result and client orientated, multi-tasker, team-player**:
