**Job description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and build new, robust, and scalable cloud-based database environments that align with client's cloud strategy.
Leverage your deep domain expertise to select appropriate database technologies and configurations.
- Serve as the primary domain expert on various database technologies, keeping up-to-date with the latest market trends and capabilities.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize database performance and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
- Formulate detailed design specifications for stable and secure database operations within the dynamic cloud environment.
- Take ownership of database engineering, enhancements, and improvements.
Work across a range of network, storage, and compute technologies to enhance reliability, security, scalability, and manageability.
- Proactively explore emerging cloud database and storage technologies, features, and capabilities. Evaluate their potential impact on our systems and make recommendations for adoption.
- Analyze existing on-premise and cloud database installations to identify opportunities for transformation.
Define database reference architectures and migration approaches to guide the migration of on-premise databases to public cloud platforms.
- Install and configure database management systems (DBMS), contributing to the refinement of procedures and documentation for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
- Configure and manage database environments, ensuring the physical structure, functional capabilities, security, backup, and recovery specifications are well-defined and executed.

**About You**
- **MySQL Expertise**: Demonstrated proficiency in provisioning MySQL 8.0.25 instances, showcasing the ability to work with the latest version of the database. Experience in setting up both clustered and non-clustered configurations is essential.
- **Cloud Database Management**: Solid track record in managing and administering cloud-based relational database solutions. Ability to navigate and optimize database performance within cloud environments, ensuring stability and scalability.
- **Primary/Replica Configuration**: Strong hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting primary/replica setups in both clustered and non-clustered environments. Proficiency in ensuring data consistency, replication integrity, and failover mechanisms.
- **Data Migration**: Proven capability to execute successful data migrations from on-premise databases to cloud-based platforms. Familiarity with various migration strategies, tools, and best practices.
- **Project Contribution**: Actively participate as a valuable contributor to the database projects team, collaborating to deliver database solutions that align with business needs and technical requirements.
- **Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity**: Expertise in designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions tailored to database systems. Ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and rapid recovery in the event of disruptions.
