**Job Description and Requirements**
- Applications Engineer, Sr I**:

- P&R**

Seeking a highly motivated and innovative engineer who:

- ** Likes** to learn and work with the latest design technology nodes using Synopsys’ most advanced tools/features to solve the high value problems faced by chip designers.
- ** Desires** **to provide** **feedback and influence Synopsys’ product improvements to meet the evolving demands of the EDA industry.
- ** Wants** to expand technical skills to full R2G design flow.
- ** Enjoys** travelling by joining Technical Summit, Synopsys Users Group Event, Immersion Trainingin US, Taiwan, Korea, India, Singapore

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Deploys and trains customers on new tool features and capabilities. Increase adoption of our digital implementation products.
- Provide customer feedback to R&D on product quality. Work with R&D on product roadmap and validation.
- Partners with customers and Sales to identify business potential. Develop effective technical solutions for new customers. Increase usage share of products on existing customers.

**Requirements**:

- BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital place and route. This includes floor planning, clock tree synthesis and low power techniques. Proficiency in IC Compiler and/or Fusion Compiler is a plus.
- Good and effective communication skills.
