Tai Dón Linguist

Productive Playhouse is currently looking for native **Tai Dón** speakers to serve as Language Verifiers for project-based work. This is a fully remote position (work from home) that requires a computer and reliable internet connection.

Role Description:
Duties of Language Verifiers include creating language verification tests, evaluation of language test submissions, and quality control of audio and video files. Language verifiers prepare language verification tests following detailed instructions provided at the time of employment. **The nature of the role is ongoing and project-based**. The workload depends on the needs of the project. This is not a full-time position and only requires a few hours per week after an initial setup period, which will vary by project.

For our current project needs, payment is based on work completed at the following rates. All amounts are in United States Dollars (USD):
**Creating a language verification test -** USD $150, one-time payment: To create this test, the Language Verifier will record themselves speaking short utterances (maybe 15 seconds long, at most), in fluent, native Tai Dón. There will be 25 utterances total. The Language Verifier will also write out an answer key of what they recorded themselves speaking, following proper grammar and punctuation rules in Tai Dón. They will also translate the test instructions into Tai Dón.

**Audio Quality Control** **-** USD $1 per link reviewed (1,756 video links needing reivew): Our client has sent us video links, and we need a Tai Dón Language Verifier to verify that the videos are in the target language of Tai Dón. The Language Verifier does not need to watch the videos in their entirety, they just need to listen to 4-5 second of audio every couple of minutes, and can skip around in the videos.
