MÔ TẢ CÔNG VIỆC
- Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with hotel colleagues.
- Performs any additional duties as directed by the General Manager
- Stays current with developments in the field of Engineering, and makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to the General Manager
- Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures
- Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language
- Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented
- Attends meetings and training as required by the General Manager
- Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of Vietnamese Law

Employee Selection
- All employees selected meet the essential requirements of the employee specifications for their position
Training & development
- Employees passing probation period have been trained in all essential tasks as per self-leadership assessment form
- Training plans for all employees are prepared, implemented and regularly update
- Employee performers and high potentials have access to further professional and personal development training as per training plan
- An active talent spotting program is in place to support succession planning and career growth for shining employees.
Coaching & performance review
- All employees complete a self-leadership review and attend a formal performance review before the end of their probation
- On job performance is regularly observed and assessed informally. Good performance is acknowledged, poor performance is coached
- All direct reports receive a formal annual performance review prior to contract renewal
- Quantity and nature of guest comments and complaints
- Condition of guest villas, public areas and back of house areas
- Staff training and development
- Departmental expenditure maintained within budget

- Directs and controls all subordinate Engineering staff to ensure that all day to day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.
- Maintains facilities and equipment by and conducting routine inspections and determining appropriate rectification measures
- Maintains systems to be able to handle day to day guest requests quickly and efficiently
- Prepares duty rosters, vacation plans and schedules and public holiday schedules to ensure efficient use of human resources
- Plans and schedules appropriate ongoing preventative maintenance programs

- Keeps records of all information in the form of blueprints, diagrams, manuals, maintenance records, logs and journals relevant to the efficient operation of the department
- Maintains a supply of inventory necessary for optimal operating efficiency
- Liaises with purchasing and suppliers to ensure provision of quality engineering supplies at most competitive prices
- Develops and promotes energy conservation programs by monitoring utility costs and consumption
- Monitors the standard of work carried out by contractors engaged by the hotel to ensure that it meets the agreed quality
- Ensures that safety and emergency procedures for guests and employees meet or exceed the recognized industry standards and conform to local legal requirements
- Prepares, monitors and controls the hotel’s annual R&M budget
- Maintain efficient administration within the department preparing and submitting operational reports on time
- Ensures that employees are selected, trained, evaluated and rewarded in compliance with existing employee management systems
- Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate employees.
