What you will do:

Business Analysis Practice

  • Contribute to the Business Analyst Practice Framework and Requirements Management Process.
  • Actively participate in the Business Analyst Guild to improve the overall.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team by maintaining a Product Glossary.

Product Planning

  • Identify and capture opportunities for improvement outside the scope of the current initiative Participate in Quarterly Product Planning.

Product and Initiative Design

  • Participate in the Explore and Design phase to identify different solution that may meet the users needs.
  • Engage in solution definition process by questioning assumptions and requirements, assess the needs, find gaps.
  • Work with the Product Owner, Product Designer and Architect to translate the agreed solution into requirements in the form of epics and user stories.
  • Support the Product Owner by elaborating user stories breaking large stories into smaller ones, modeling workflows and data, define business rules, and address nonfunctional requirements.
  • Produce consistent and highquality artefacts to support initiatives such as business process flows (asis/tobe), user stories, acceptance criteria.
  • Identify relevant nonfunctional requirements and document them as technical users stories.
  • Where appropriate product into formal requirements specifications for review by external stakeholders.
  • Work with the Product owner to manage and priorities user stories in line with target outcomes and investment window.

Product Development

  • Along with the Product Owner participate in all product delivery rituals and assist the product squads by providing an overview of the target solution, answer questions and adjusting stories or acceptance criteria in response to issues or changes.
  • Assists the PO in managing the sprint and the product backlog.
  • Coordinating with the development team to get the stories developed.
  • Support Engineering and QA during the execution of stories, including shoulder checks, review and signoff.
  • Support the smooth execution of the sprint by providing day to day support for the development team in relation to questions of intent, scope or business rules, and raising blockers with the Product Manager/Owner/Business Analysis Lead as required.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
  • In conjunction with the Product Owner provide feedback on completed functionality and where appropriate accept the story.
  • Work with engineering to showcase new functionality delivered in a sprint.

Product Documentation

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to update AS BUILT product documentation, including business rules, process diagram and usage guides.

Internal Programs / Projects and Change Management

  • Responsible for understanding our business processes, key product requirements and delivering effective user stories Elicit, validate and clearly document business and functional requirements.
  • Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Creating functional specifications for solutions.
  • Maintaining the dependency map and traceability matrix and dependencies. Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.

What you should have:

  • 3+yrs experience as a Business Analyst working in a cross functional agile product team.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience in documenting user and market requirements in the form of user stories.
  • Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and nontechnical people alike.
  • Excellent listening skills and a commitment to communicate clearly, completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing, collaborative team member.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skill including ability to product high quality documentation and write customer communications.
