**Overall Job Purpose / Role Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering community as part of our core microservices team. You will work closely with other Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Product Architects and Product Owners as part of an Agile Product team to drive our platforms forward, exploring new technologies and approaches to existing challenges. The Key2Key team maintains a set of microservices which together power the Key2Key retention platform. This platform helps Automotive manufacturers and Automotive Dealer groups retain finance customers by calculating the ideal point for them to replace their current vehicle.

**Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing platform improvements in line with the business vision and technical strategy.
  • Analyse and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of products and services.
  • Peer and Code Review work of other team members.
  • Contribute to building a culture of support, creativity and learning within your Agile product team and the wider Software Engineering community.
  • Adhere to best practice principles for development, including source control, build, testing and deployment. Being responsible for information security and data protection, and supporting the business in complying with any legal obligations imposed upon it through positive actions.
**Technical Competencies: - Excellent written and verbal English language skills

  • Current working experience of Python
  • Awareness of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery / Unit Testing / BDD / TDD
  • Familiar with REST API principles Familiarity and experience with Agile working practices

Required Experience:

  • Ideally a Software Engineer with two or more years' experience within their respective field.
  • Building and managing APIs
  • Experience in creation of technical documentation Backend development Python

Desired Experience:

  • Working with the Flask framework
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Working with mathematical / financial calculations
  • Working in a fullstack team maintaining frontend and backend
  • Working in a cross functional team Team leading / mentoring experience
