Your Impact:


As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Axon, you participate in multiple activities to extend our product capabilities as well as solidify it for new customers.

You also take the lead in our new initiatives that leverage technologies to make safer life for millions of people around the world.

You love working with the latest open source technologies, and can leverage your system design skills to make the right technical decisions on a system that needs to be bullet-proof.


Not only can you drive decisions among competing engineering trade-offs, your empathy with customers allows you to intuit innovative solutions for our customer problems.

You will be working closely with product managers and designers to ensure we are building the right solution for our customers.

You also enjoy mentoring other engineers, and love to be a hands-on teacher helping to up level the engineers around you.


What You'll Do:

Location:

Hybrid working in our HCMC office or fully remote if you are not located in HCMC**
Reports to:Software Engineering Manager**:

  • Lead projects, gather requirements and design solutions in an ambiguous environment
  • Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews
  • Mentor engineers
  • Coordinate across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to build software that is scalable, meets web accessibility standards, and works across language and culture.
  • Improve our Engineering process, including longterm thinking, sprint planning and standups
  • Work with the latest open source technologies

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Highly technical with experience in frontend design and demonstrated ability to make tough technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and tradeoffs
  • Strong skills in modern Javascript frameworks and understanding of the ins and outs of browser capabilities
  • Experience with frontend languages such as Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
