Responsibilities:

Must have strong competency in pre-flight mechanical build out of art files and ensure all digital assets are validated. May suggest improvements to modify mechanical settings to increase the quality of printing. Conduct pre-production operation checklist based on specs, including format layout supplied by Branding and Package Engineering team. Ensure package specs and settings are in-line and properly formatted, for appearance, layout, type, graphic icons and images. Raise any red flags when errors are caught. Must have attention to detail, understand die-line structure, trapping and color separations. Ensure successful print production is based on the original design layout and design intent. Other responsibilities include supporting the private label business with graphic layout and creative support. Work directly with the Private Label team to meet all deadlines for package approval. Safeguard all Private label template are strictly adhere to in regard to corporate guidelines for color and logo use.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Works with NPI, PDG, SQA, Global Planners and ODM in regard to ship dates
  • Maintains project log, track and updates report on the number of print runs and revised artwork
  • Makes sure all program milestone dates are adhered to
  • Manages ongoing flow of work in and out of operations team
  • Attends interdepartmental briefings (NPI, Global Planners, Private label teams)
  • Routes mechanicals/proofs to internal team members to review
  • Attends "postmortem" meetings share the good and the bad
  • Participates in weekly departmental staff meetings
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of artwork and production schedule
  • Support and uphold Belkin Branding Standards on all packaging projects.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of image/file cataloging, archiving and backup program; ensure a central depository of files going out to the printers.
  • Fulfill responsibilities under OHSAS and other relevant compliance standards and requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
  • Update and Maintain all relevant Agile work is a must, submit ECO, ECR and MCO as needed

Experience requirements:

  • Two to five years' experience in a similar position/capacity.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Mac computers and strong offset printing knowledge. Proficient with related software, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as with vendors.

Education requirements:

  • Degree holder in Graphic Design or other related disciplines.
